Impregnation which is commonly known as the carburization of the match splints, is done according to buyers' order. During splints processing, same chemical is used (mono-ammonium Phosphate) for impregnation in a similar way like swedish matches. This particular chemical is the most rigid and assured impregnating chemical, is used during manufacturing while other may use boric acid or even fertilizer like tsp. The benefit of mono-ammonium phosphate during impregnation is - it's is absorbed in accordance to the need of splint-wood which allows splints not to break-off when burning.
