North China Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.North China Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is now one of the largest pharmaceutical enterprises in China that belongs to the NCPC Group. The original factory of North China Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was one of the key construction projects during Chinese First Five-Year Plan. It was composed of antibiotic factory and starch factory, which belonged to 156 leading projects under the help of former Soviet Union and pharmaceutical glass factory of former Democratic Germany. The total investment has achieved USD9,360,000. After five years of construction from its foundation date, the successful operation started in June 1958. The foundation of North China Pharmaceutical Factory ended the history of importing penicillin and streptomycin, and improved the situation of lacking doctors and medicines. NCPC was set up in August 1992 with its entire production and operation assets raised from its predecessor, North China Pharmaceutical Factory. NCPC was listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange on January 14, 1994. NCPC is engaged in the production of penicillin, semi-synthetic penicillin, streptomycin, clindamycin, oxytetracycline, tetracycline, cephalosporins and other antibiotics in bulk, intermediates and preparations, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, and healthcare products, such as soybean isoflavones, lycopene, soy saponins and starch, glucose and pharmaceutical glassware.
