Konka Group Co., Ltd.Konka Group Co., Ltd was established in 1980. Our company specializes in the manufacturing and distributing of household electronic products under our own brand name. Our major products include color TV sets, mobile phones, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and packaging materials. In August 1991, we were restructured into a Sino-foreign public shareholding company and became the first joint venture in China. In March 1992, our company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In 2003, our retail sales of color TVs in the domestic market increased by 32.32%, making Konka the number 1 brand in China. Meanwhile, our sales volume of mobile phones exceeded 1,6 00,000 units, an increase of 327% over 2002. In addition to domestic market, we also expanded our business to international markets to achieve greater success. We became the first Chinese TV producer which obtained both the international and domestic market share. At present, our "Konka" brand enjoys growing acknowledgement abroad. For instance, we won the award for innovation at Las Vegas International Consumer Electronic Fair in Jan 2000. We are one of the four members of the China National High-Definition Digital TV Standardization Specialist Committee, and are also a member of the American Digital TV Alliance. We have five major manufacturing plants in China, and also have established production bases in India, Indonesia, Mexico and Turkey. With three world-class R&D centers in China and one in the USA, we successfully developed a series of new generation electronics and telecommunications products with high market adaptability and competitiveness. These new products include large-screen color TVs, combo TVs, digital TVs, LCD TVs and plasma screen TVs. We have a subsidiary company in Hong Kong which called Hong Kong Konka Limited (HKKL). It undertakes the overseas sales and marketing of Konka brand digital video products, mobile phones, PHS, video, audio and IT products. It also expands our OEM business and strategic partnerships with renowned multinational organizations. HKKL exported 1,200,000 TV sets (113% growth) in 2003 and 3,000,000 sets in 2004 to more than 500 long-term customers in such overseas market as America, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Australia. Konka is a true success story and will develop even further to become a global hi-tech enterprise.
